There are two unique field trip activities for groups interested in visiting the UTB/TSC campus.

Walk Trough the Solar system is geared towards elementary students. Students are guided through the planet plaques on the UTB/TSC paseo learning about unique characteristics of each planet as they go along.

Searching for Gravitational Waves is a career exploration field trip designed for middle and high school students. Students tour the Physics and Astronomy Department and get a look into the research of the Center for Gravitational Wave Astronomy, including a tour of the beowulf supercomputer on campus used to analyze data.  Students use templates of waveforms to find gravitational waves in the noise of LIGO data.
